AGORO SIMULATOR 2D PREVIEW I felt really bad about not publishing a tour of the game on Monday. So rather than working on Pre-Production our other project I spent the last few days further mapping out and designing the combat sequence for the Agoro Simulator. Check out the video below... The coding is all running but there's still a tonne to do with the graphics and animations. Work has focused on the basic attacks, so nothing really complicated or crazy to show off right now. I won't explain the context of the fight. All you need to know for now is that the fights will be sporadic, along with other interactive elements. The game is built using a visual novel engine, so of course there will be alot more emphasis on the narrative and branching story options... I'm considering this project to be "an interactive Agoro Season 1.5". AGORO SIMULATOR 2D PREVIEW Here's another quick look through some of the Hub World mechanics. The Hub being a cartoon version of the room from the web series. There's a few wrinkles to iron out, some sound to add (and fix), dialogue to clean up, graphics to improve, some animations, etc but hopefully this quick video gives you another look into what's possible with Tyranobuilder. More polished presentations will come in time. I would have got to the skill sheet and quest log but in this play through I can across an error I needed to fix (It was my stuff up, not an issue with the engine). So I'll get to those next time. If you have any questions please ask. I'll post another element of the game late next week. As for gameplay, this hub is used to trigger all kinds of quests, sequences and craziness. AGORO SIMULATOR 2D PREVIEW Following on from the last WIP video this is a quick look at another element of the game. Agoro now has a walk animation (I tried a complex animation but decided to go with the approach I used in the webseries), there's a quick look at the 'Cocoon Pals' feature which will make sense in time and at the end the random encounter is a hint at the subject of the next WIP video. If you have any questions about how game elements are created with Tyranobuilder just ask and I'll try to explain as best I can. As a work in progress the sound, music and art aren't final. Right now the focus is on getting the game mechanics working. AGORO SIMULATOR 2D PREVIEW I'll start by mentioning that the name of the game will soon change, but more on that later. Right now I have another short video for you demonstrating the updated interface complete with inventory, a game manual, direct access to the character stats/quest pages and eventually map. The clip starts with one of many random encounters that trigger throughout the game. Every location has a probability of triggering them and I'm working hard to make sure they're always unique and amusing. For instance, a phone call is one kind of encounter in the main room, once triggered there are currently ten possible callers with ten different possible conversations/interactions. The next week is going to be more polish and design.
